Theories about microwaves and other random call the related thoughts.

I didn't get a chance to read my book today. I will get back on that soon I promise.

I would like to take a moment to write about a suggestion given to me by my friend Alex. She had this theory that time stands still when you put something in the microwave.

Now, I am not quite sure how accurate she was but I found the statement about it just the same. You see I don't think I've ever put anything in the microwave for myself so, I don't actually know what it feels like. I guess it's something akin to anticipation.

I wait and wait for Christmas to come all you around and then once it's over I don't know what to do with myself. Today, my mom and I took down our Christmas tree decorations and I had a mixture of emotions. I think it was somewhere between sadness and relief that I had no more holiday obligations to think about.

My mom did something funny though, she left out one particular Christmas decoration. It's something she often does. In fact I'm sitting in my kitchen looking at it right now. It is a Santa Claus figurine that was given to us as a gift by Alex's mother Cheryl.

It wasn't until this year, that I realized this particular that this figurine was some kind of incense burner. I just thought it was cute because Santa is in the bathtub filled with bubbles and Rudolph were one of the other reindeer's is holding up a sign that says “it's time to go”

I know this particular blog sounds really random, but I was having a bit of writer's block tonight and I just wanted to post something. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

The End of The Bucket List

Noah finally reached #99 today. The reporter and photographer from the local paper had just left, when I arrived. “ The basket hit the ground safely, I see.”             “Yes,” he replied. “As you predicted, it would have been more fun with my Emilee. All the couple I went with wanted to do was swill red or white, and talk of his promotion. Emilee would have squeezed my hand lovingly and talked about the beauty of the countryside.”             “Well, Noah…They all can not be your Emilee. She was one of a kind. What’s next? I was there at the beginning when you had me write the blasted list.”             He was sitting on the edge of the bed when he looked over at me. Tears rolling down his wrinkled cheeks. “Ah, my boy, I wish I had more time on the clock, more things to tick off.     ...

Day six

Today I saw my taco explode after just one bite, all of it falling onto the plate in a heap of cheese, meat and lettuce. Yesterday I saw all three parts of the same Christmas movie at different times. It sounded like a mixture of infomercials and jingle bells. If you looked inside me you would see someone who is self-conscious and insecure, even after 27 years on this planet The five things I saw that no one else saw The inside of my eyelids The lint on my dress The game boards on my bed. My faded pink nighty on the floor. Tooth picks on the doorframe The most beautiful, terrible thing is the failures and inadequacies of technology

Celebrity Name Game

When mom met me up this morning, she was asking me which celebrity was my favorite, you know favorite female actress or male actor. It reminds me of a one, of one of those  party games that are meant to catch you offguard guard. She asked me a bunch of other questions, I answered accordingly. At the end of the game and after I was done using the toilet and eating breakfast… I wished that I would have been able to come up with better responses.  I think I said Jim Carrey and Julia Roberts. Looking back however, I would have changed my answers. Jim Carrey would have been a contender but Matthew McConaughey would have knocked him off of the top spot. As far as favorite actresses go, and still would have been Katherine Hagel, even though her career has been put on hold because of her desire to have a family. Mom then switched to questions that were of a more personal nature. That game reminding me of something I saw on one of my all-time favorite TV shows, Charmed. I think the s...
